CVISS is honored that our very own counselor and teacher, Mrs. Steele, was chosen as one of Los Angeles County's Teachers of the Year for 2025 and 2026. Mrs. Steele blends professionalism with a deep understanding for her students' personal situations. She has been instrumental in designing and implementing the independent study program for the Centinela Valley District. She was hired as a COSA, a counselor on special assignment, and ensures every student is taking the correct classes and advancing towards graduation. Mrs. Steele also holds an English credential and is able to deliver expert instruction, guidance, and feedback to students in this subject. Her work is written in the success of countless students that she has uplifted, inspired, and equipped for a brighter future.
